New RefWorks Write-n-Cite version on UU-computers

On Wednesday, May 14th ITS will make a new version (4.3) of RefWorks Write-n-Cite available on all UU-computers. This is the plug-in for Word that allows easy inserting and editing of citations in documents. This new version has the same functionality as version 4.2 but solves a few problems, such as errors when switching output styles and a too large ‘edit/insert citation’ window. It also completely does away with the need to use the groupcode to log in.

Student computers in the Library, Computer Lab rooms etc.:
On UU-computers for students the plug–in will be available in Word the first time Word is started after Wednesday evening.

Faculty/staff-PC’s:
For faculty/staff the plug-in is already available for self-installation: make sure Word is closed and go to Start | All programs and under UU-applications click ‘Install ProQuest for Word (Write-n-Cite 4.3)’. Where possible/needed ITS will also push installation of the plug-in I Word on Wednesday evening.

Logging in:
You will now see a new tab in Word called ‘ProQuest’. On that tab you can log in to either RefWorks Write-n-Cite or Flow (another ProQuest product). After logging in to RefWorks there the tab in Word will be renamed to RefWorks.

On your own computer…
On your own computer we also advise to use this latest version of Write-n-Cite, available from your RefWorks account via the menu-option ‘tools’.
